Eureka County, NV was given to me by Bob, N4BP, on October 3, 2003. This was the last county to complete for the first time ever USA-CA all QRP/CW. It was the last of four he gave me on his trip across the county to become a part of this accomplisment. Bob's intent was to give me first Eureka and the Lander, NV, but he suddenly found himself driving into Lander, so he gave me that county first. He then turned around and gave me Eureka, NV to finsh the quest. Bob was using the short Hustler on his pickup truck. I was using a 10 meter extended double zepp fed with 450 ohm ladder line pointed in his direction running 4 watts from an Elecraft K1. This was the last of the four counties he gave me to finish up USA-CA all QRP/CW. He drove 390 miles out of his way on his trip across the country to be of assistance.
